Battery Life

Generally, battery life can be preserved by charging your device regularly and closing applications not in use.

How to identify your smartphone

From the Home screen, select the Options icon. Depending on your device, select either About, or Device and then About Device Versions to find your smartphone model.

If your smartphone cannot be powered on, remove the battery to reveal the BlackBerry model number printed on the label underneath.

How to find out your smartphone's operating system

Select Options on the home screen (the wrench icon). Depending on your device operating system, select Device, then About Device Versions or select About.

On some BlackBerry models, you may need to select Settings before getting to Options.

The third line on the screen that comes up will start with a “v”, followed by the software version. For example, “v.4.5.0.37” is OS version 4.5 and build 37.
