Your service invoice from BlackBerry® has been designed to be both easy to read and easy to reconcile.

Please note: This information applies to customers who have purchased directly from Research In Motion (RIM). If you have not purchased from RIM, contact your service provider for assistance.

There are two parts to your invoice:

  • Invoice Summary – summarizes the various service subscriptions for the BlackBerry devices and software on your customer account.
  • Invoice Detail – lists each device by electronic serial number (ESN) or BlackBerry® Enterprise Server SRP ID, along with their associated services and prices for your reconciliation purposes.

If you have less than five (5) devices on your customer account, your Invoice Summary will include the Invoice Detail. If you have more than five (5) devices on your customer account the Invoice Summary and Invoice Detail will be separated on different pages.

Invoice Definitions

1. Invoice Number
The reference number that will help us look up your invoice if you need to phone or email RIM for assistance.

2. Account Number
The number that your account has been assigned. It helps us access your account if you need to phone or email us for assistance.

3. Invoice Date
The date your bill was processed.

4. Bill To
The mailing address your bills from BlackBerry and correspondence are sent to.

5. Payment Terms
The number of days in which your payments must be made, specified in your contract.

6. Currency
The currency your invoice is billed in.

7. PO#
The purchase order number provided to RIM. Please refer to the Invoice Detail for PO information if you have multiple PO numbers.

8. Tax Code
The tax jurisdiction code used to calculate taxes.

9. Invoice Summary
The portion of your invoice that provides a summary of the various service subscriptions for the BlackBerry devices on your customer account.

10. Service
The type of service being billed (i.e. Email, Paging, Roaming, BlackBerry Technical Support Services, Other).

11. Description
A full description of the service type being billed, including the frequency of billing (monthly, quarterly, etc.) for each service type.

12. Billing Period
Indicates whether services are being billed for a partial billing period or a full billing period. Partial billing periods apply to new service activations that have occurred during a billing period. Full billing periods are for services that have been rendered since the beginning of the billing period.

13.Quantity
The total number of each service type that has been billed.

14. Price
The price for the service type.

15. Extended Price
The total cost for the service type, which is equal to the price multiplied by the quantity being billed.

16. Total Amount
The total amount to be remitted for payment to RIM.

18. Invoice Detail
The portion of your invoice that provides a listing of each device, by ESN, or BlackBerry Enterprise Server SRP ID, along with their associated services and prices.

19. ESN
The serial number of each device, or BlackBerry Enterprise Server SRP ID, being billed for. On the RIM 950, the ESN is located under the battery cover. On the RIM 857 or RIM 957, it is located on the back of the device. On both devices, you can also locate the serial number under the Options menu: 950 option (for the RIM 950) or 957 option (for the RIM 857 or RIM 957) and then under the Device Option: Status.

20. PIN
The unique personal identification number (PIN) of each handheld being billed for. On the RIM 950, the PIN is located under the battery cover. On the RIM 857 or RIM 957, it is located on the back of the device. On both devices you can also locate the PIN under the Options menu: 950 option (for the RIM 950) or 957 option (for the RIM 857 or RIM 957) and then under the Device Option: Status.

21. Start Billing Date
The start date of the current billing period for the service being paid. For new devices, this may also be the date service was initially activated.

22. End Billing Date
The end date of the current billing period for the service being paid.

23. Contract
Your RIM assigned contract number. It’s for billing purposes only. This is a useful reference number if you need to phone or email us for assistance.

Payment Options

  • By Cheque
    Please refer to the invoice number on your remittance and mail the cheque to the payment location listed on the front of the invoice.

  • By Credit Card
    Your bill will automatically be charged to your credit card. This invoice amount has been processed by pre-authorized payment. NO ADDITIONAL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED. Please keep this invoice for your records.
