To ensure that your BlackBerry® smartphone will support BlackBerry App World™, it must have the following system requirements:
- BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.2 or higher
- BlackBerry smartphones with trackballs or SurePress™ touch screen
- To use BlackBerry App World, you require a service plan that includes access to the BlackBerry® Browser
How to check your operating system from your BlackBerry smartphone:
- Click "Options" from your BlackBerry smartphone
- Select “About”, then click. Your BlackBerry smartphone operating system information will be displayed

Memory Indicator
Always know exactly how much memory you have with the new memory status bar. When you've exceeded your memory, a message will appear guiding you on how to free up more space.

BlackBerry App World is available for free! If you have a PayPal account, and if your BlackBerry® smartphone meets the system requirements, then you’re ready to download BlackBerry App World from your smartphone or from your desktop computer.
