How to update the software on your tablet

Updating to the latest BlackBerry® PlayBook™ OS is free and easy,
and happens over the air.

To update the software on your tablet:

STEP 1


A notification will appear when a
software update is available. To
view your updates, tap the
Software Notification icon.

 STEP 2


To begin downloading your
software update, tap Update.

 STEP 3


To finalize the software
update, tap Restart.

To manually check for updates, tap the Settings icon and then Software Updates.
To see if there’s an update available, tap the Check for Updates button.
