PC World Top 100 Products of 2007
In May of 2007, the BlackBerry® 8800 smartphone was ranked 5th in PC World's Top 100 Products of 2007. The Top 100 Products of 2007 are ranked by PC World magazine's editors and are based on product reviews. Brand Impact Awards 2007
The Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry® smartphone was awarded the Brand Impact Award 2007, in the Smart Phone category. The award is based on a quantitative study conducted by Liquid Agency that examines a brand's relative strength based on how well it retains customers as well an overall evaluation of "brand reputation".
PC Magazine 4 Stars Rating
Sascha Segan from PC Magazine awarded the BlackBerry® 8830 smartphone 4 out of a possible 5 Stars in May, 2007. RIM was also recently awarded winners of "China Top CIO Award 2007" by CEOCIO China magazine & IDC China. CEOCIO Magazine targets CIO and CEO levels in China.
Business/Smartphone of the Year 2007
The BlackBerry Curve smartphone was voted as the “Business/Smart phone” of the year 2007 by NDTV 24x7. There was a tough competition between the Nokia® E-90 Communicator and the BlackBerry Curve smartphone for the honor. In the end, the BlackBerry Curve smartphone emerged as the number one mobile device in the category.
