To use AOL Instant Messenger for your BlackBerry smartphone, the following is required:
- A wireless data service plan from your wireless service provider
- An AIM Screen Name (visit www.aim.com on your desktop browser to learn how to obtain a Screen Name)
- BlackBerry® Device Software v4.2 or later
- If your device is connected to a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, your IT Department must have IT Policy set to allow AOL Instant Messenger functionality
